 A New Approach to Wealth

The EQ of Wealth

The difference between IQ and EQ is painfully clear in the UHNW space. This new generation of wealth-owners are asking for real skills in resilience and relationships to take a massive opportunity and build an impactful legacy, but it’s hard to find wealth training beyond traditional financial and investment literacy.

Until now.

The EQ of Wealth teaches mission-driven wealth-owners the soft skills to achieve a big legacy with concrete results. In the last year, the EQ of Wealth coaching has helped moved $100M+ to climate change, mental health, and abortion rights.

Why coach about the EQ of Wealth?

Wealth doesn’t solve your problems. In fact, it can lead to more complicated dynamics and transactional relationships. Without training in the EQ of Wealth, your assets can destroy your relationship to your family — and yourself.

Loneliness and social isolation increase the risk for premature death by 26% and 29% respectively. It can be as deadly as smoking up to 15 cigarettes a day.

Over the next 20 years, families will face inevitable conflict as we approach the the greatest transfer of wealth in history.

Negative family relationships can directly impact the economy when 35% of Fortune 500 businesses are family owned.

The top predictor of divorce for both men and women is early fighting about money.

Getting powerful through the EQ of Wealth

True wealth is not what you think. It’s better.

This generation cares about wealth, well-being, and impact, and EQ of Wealth coaching was created so wealth-owners can achieve all three. To date, this coaching has helped drive millions of dollars to make the world better, including $100M to combat climate change.

Our Founder

Meet Wendy Wecksell (or “WxL” for short)

Founder Wendy Wecksell’s professional life sits at the intersection of wealth, work and family. Wendy has lived through the high stakes world of NexGen and family business, personally having encountered family legacy and inheritance herself — with all its ups, downs and lessons learned. She has the lived experience of a NextGen.

She’s partnered with UHNW families and brands throughout her career from Morgan Stanley, American Express, Chanel, NYU, The Sundance Institute, Tribeca Festival, (RED), Samueli Foundation, George Kaiser Family Foundation, Schusterman Family Philanthropies, Long Angle, Galaxy Gives, Founders Pledge, SF-based social club The Battery, and 8090 Partners, a private investment partnership of 23 industry-leading families and entrepreneurs.

She led the launch of the major donor giving collective at Pencils of Promise, and helped organize an executive-level exponential fundraising course at Harvard University’s Hauser Institute as well.

So many powerful businesses must be able to manage the intricacies of family dynamics — because so many businesses are deeply connected to the families that started them.

It’s time for executive and relationship coaching to enter the NextGen and family business sphere. WxL Partners is that coaching. We deliver a unique set of skills to our partners that allows them to go from the dinner table to the boardroom to the annual meeting without tension, overwhelm, and frustration.
